This week, 10 of our very talented students had the chance to perform alongside our peers from the other DAP school at the Bradford School’s proms: Musica Spectacular at St. George’s Hall.

As well as the Southfield performance, there were musical acts from Co-op Academy Delius, Chellow, Beckfoot Phoenix, Beechliffe, High Park and Hazelbeck, who all showed the vast and wide range of talents there are in the Bradford special schools.

After a dress rehearsal on stage during the day, the students dazzled the near sellout crowd with a variety of musical and dance numbers spanning Queen, the Killers, Michael Jackson and the Greatest Showman. As the concert came to an end, we joined the rest of the schools to form a nearly 100 strong signing choir for a rendition of the Starship classic, which really does surmise our Co-op value of succeeding together:

“And we can build this dream together

Standing strong forever

Nothing’s gonna stop us now”
